A FLIR Thermal Camera for Gas Imaging detects fumes emitted at the pump of a gas station. Gas detecting thermal cameras detect gas on a Short Wavelength of 3-5 microns and a Long Wavelength of 8-12 microns, which differs from standard Thermal IR cameras. Infrared displays a leak as a plume of vapor in an infrared image.
